Stephanie Sy graduated from California Western School of Law in 2006, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree. Prior to law school, Ms. Sy graduated from The University of Arizona, cum laude, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus in Business Economics.
Ms. Sy, from a very early age, knew she wanted to work with families and in particular, immigrant families. Ms. Sy moved from the Philippines to the United States when she was 8 years old. Ms. Sy understands the immigrant experience because she experienced it first hand. She understands the importance of your case and the impact it will have on you and your future generations. Ms. Sy entered law school knowing that she wanted to help families achieve the American dream.
During law school, Ms. Sy clerked for the Honorable Kenneth Lee, Superior Court of Arizona, Pima County. She also interned at Garvey Schubert and Barer in Beijing, China. In 2006, Ms. Sy was provided with the opportunity to join The Law Offices of Stephen Ure, PC, to practice immigration and family law.
As a senior associate attorney at The Law Offices of Stephen Ure, PC, Ms. Sy handles both nonimmigrant and immigrant matters (family, employment, and investment based petitions). Ms. Sy has lectured on various immigration matters and have written articles in several publications. Ms. Sy has been named to Cambridge Who's Who for Executive Women.
Ms. Sy is a member of the California State Bar and is currently the Co-Chair of the San Diego County Bar's Immigration Section.
Ms. Sy is conversant in Fujian Chinese (Hokkien), Mandarin Chinese, and is fluent in Tagalog.
